Gerlinde owns a garden that has been decorated with attention to detail and covers 7 different mowing zones across ca. 700m2. She recently retired, so she and her husband were looking for a time-saving solution to their gardening, in order to be able to spend more time together.
Life before robot mower
When Gerlinde designed her garden, she already had in mind, that one day a robot mower would take over the mowing task. Until then she and her husband were happy to use a petrol-powered push lawnmower. However, not only the mowing itself took time, but also the disposal of the green waste at the recycling centre took an astonishing 1.5 hours of their precious time each week.
With Gerlinde's retirement the idea to add a robot mower to their garden became more prominent and so their thorough online research began. They had however two main concerns: very narrow pathways that connected the different mowing zones and occasional visits from moles. Still only having wired models in mind in particular the mole situation caused a problem. These creatures are known to bite through robot wires and Gerlinde started to wonder if it all was even worth it?
Feeling stuck and overwhelmed with the choice of brands and models Gerlinde and her husband finally decided to seek advice from a local dealer, who recommended a STIGA autonomous robot.

The robot mower experience
Gerlinde is particularly happy about the great support she received from her local dealer during the installation process. He installed the robot and guided her through the app features, which left Gerlinde positively surprised at how easy and self-explanatory the zone management and the app in general is.
She loves watching the robot mow her garden and can already tell that the lawn looks more fertilised and appears healthier. The virtually noise-free mowing attracts a lot of attention from her house guests and is a popular topic of conversation.
The agile and lightweight design allows it to manouvre with easy and often provokes comments like "That's incredible" from anyone who sees it in action.
