Read Gerlinde’s robot mower story
For our new episode of Real Garden Stories we have travelled to Sweden, to meet Sven-Erik in his garden of around 1500 m2. His curiosity is the reason why he is now a proud owner of an autonomous robot.
Sven-Erik lives in a town called Tvååker. Together with his wife they have been enjoying their home with a beautiful garden since 1976.
Their entire plot is 1,500m2 of which 1,000m2 are covered by lawn. This vast space represents all the people enjoying it.
His wife lovingly tends to the greenhouse and vegetable beds, that have a precious rhubarb plot. Dipped in sugar, it is their grandchildren's favourite snack. Another corner is filled with plenty of energy and laughter. This is a space dedicated to their grand-children. They have their very own corner to create garden moments full of fun and games, while Sven-Erik is the guardian of the lawn.
Before Sven-Erik retired he worked with STIGA products in his job. Being familiar with the brand and the quality of its products he originally chose a STIGA Park front mower and a roller mower to keep his lawn in shape.
However hearing positive feedback from customers, who owned a STIGA autonomous robot mower, intrigued him to switch his current mower equipment and try the robot mower as well.
The thought to be able to enjoy retirement without having to mow the lawn seemed very appealing and he was excited about having more time on his hands to do other things.
The robot mower moved into Sven-Erik's garden during summer 2024. The lawn and the 4 different mowing areas have been perfectly cut ever since.
According to Sven-Erik the mowing process is fascinating and a pleasure to observe. Combined with the low noise-level the robot mower is a truely pleasant garden companion, which prompts Sven-Erik to recommed it to anyone who visits his garden.
He is a self-proclaimed proud robot mower.
