Deciduous hedging plants

Read all the secrets of deciduous hedging plants

A deciduous hedge will transform during the seasons.
The leaves of these types of plants will fall during autumn or winter months. Doing that, the hedge won’t always be green but will offer the garden and its owner different colour shades and level of protection depending on the season.
A deciduous hedge will colour the garden with beautiful and scented flowers and fruits in spring and summer, which may embellish even more time spent in the garden in the hot seasons

Deciduous hedge - different heights

Depending on the final results you are looking for, you can choose to manage the size of your hedge in different ways: go for a hedge type of medium/high dimensions or opt for species that fit at a low height.
The first one will be planted to mainly define the garden borders to ensure full privacy when in the garden, and will therefore require the usual maintenance to avoid untidy areas that also cover the lawn.

On the other hand, below you will find a list of species that can be maintained at low heights and therefore may be ideal to decorate some areas in the garden.

Suggested species - medium/high heights
