All you need to know about a STIGA lawn mower

Do you have any question or doubt in buying a new lawn mower? You already own one, but want to make sure you are doing everything “by the book”? Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about STIGA lawn mowers...and our answers!

Is the product already assembled in the box?

The product is almost fully assembled when you open the box. The main parts have been put together and the remaining elements are easy to assemble. Follow the directions in the instruction manual to ensure the grass cutter is assembled correctly.

I want to buy an electric-powered lawn mower. Do I need to purchase a power cable?

Yes, we recommend purchasing a power cable separately. There is no power cable included in the box. For information on the correct cable to use, please consult the instruction manual.

Should the grass cutter be protected from rain?

All STIGA grass cutters are IPX4 certified, meaning that they are not damaged by rain. However, it is recommended to keep the grass cutter in a garage or store it indoors. Full information can be found in the instruction manual.

What is the cutting height set to?

The cutting height can be adjusted according to desired grass length. If the grass is very long, we recommend first mowing the lawn with the cutting deck in a higher position. Then, mow the lawn a second time with the cutting height set to the desired grass length. For information on cutting height positions, refer to the "Technical specs" section. Read the instruction manual carefully.

What happens if there are small objects in the garden?

When the grass cutter is in use, you should look out for any stones, pine cones or other small objects which may be on the lawn. These objects could damage the blade and hit nearby objects or people.

How should the grass cutter be cleaned after use?

We recommend cleaning the grass cutter in the normal way after each use. Before washing the grass cutter, we suggest that any residual grass or top soil is removed using the special STIGA scraper, which can be purchased separately. Next, the inside of the chassis can be washed with water. For lawn mowers that are not equipped with the washing link, we suggest that any residual grass or top soil is removed using the STIGA scraper.

Where can I purchase a new blade?

When purchasing a new blade, we recommend that you contact an authorized STIGA dealer. To find your nearest retailer, go to the "find a dealer" section of the website's main menu.

If you still have some questions left, or want to make sure you have it under control, before and after the purchase, you can check our FAQs…or the instruction manual!
