This July 2025, STIGA is rolling out an exciting new software upgrade for all autonomous robot mowers. The update is completely free, easy to install, and packed with features designed to make your mowing experience smoother, smarter, and even more efficient.
We’ve been working hard to make your mowing experience with STIGA autonomous robots even better. This free upgrade gives you exciting new features—including the ability to force a border cut, adjust the perimeter directly in the app, and use the signal checker to find the best spot for your charging station—and that’s just the beginning.

No more worrying about missing the latest version! You can now activate automatic firmware updates. Your robot will update itself at night while charging, so your mowing schedule won’t be disturbed.
If you prefer more control, you can still choose manual updates—the app will notify you whenever a new version is ready, and you decide when to install it.
Editing your mowing perimeter has never been easier. With this update, you can move existing perimeter segments or single points with precision—directly in your STIGA.GO app.
Adjustments can be made by 5, 10, or 20 cm, giving you complete flexibility without needing to physically drive the robot around the garden. Prefer the old method? Don’t worry—you can still edit the perimeter the traditional way.
Need a tidy edge right away? With the new update, you can give your robot a direct command to perform a border cut on demand, without waiting for the scheduled one.
Even better, you can choose which zone to apply it to, giving you full flexibility across different areas of your lawn.
Installing your charging station just got easier. The default docking path is set to 200 cm, but now you can customize it anywhere between 50 cm and 300 cm, in 50 cm steps.
This flexibility allows you to place the charging base even in areas with a weaker signal—improving both convenience for you and performance for your robot.
The new signal checker tool helps you identify the ideal position for your charging station - drive your robot and receive real-time coverage information. This feature acts as your personal support system in case of connectivity issues during installation. By locating the strongest signal, you can ensure your robot always docks smoothly and operates at peak efficiency.
