Episode 2: Real Garden Care Stories

Gerlinde’s garden is a true labour of love—thoughtfully designed and carefully maintained. Spanning approximately 700 m² and divided into seven distinct mowing zones, it reflects her passion for detail. Recently retired, Gerlinde and her husband were on the lookout for a time-saving solution to keep their lawn impeccably mowed ,whilst freeing up time for them to have more time together as a couple.

Life before robot mower

When Gerlinde first designed her garden, she already had one eye on the future: she envisioned a robot mower eventually taking over the lawn care. Until that day arrived, she and her husband relied on a petrol-powered push mower. But mowing wasn’t the only time-consuming chore—they also had to dispose of the green waste, which meant weekly trips to the recycling centre, costing them up to 1.5 hours each time.

With retirement came more time—but also a greater desire to spend it together doing what they love, not mowing the lawn. So, the idea of investing in a robot mower came back into focus. Gerlinde and her husband began researching online, but there were a few concerns that they had.

The main challenges? Very narrow pathways connecting the mowing zones and the occasional uninvited guest—moles. At the time, they were only considering wired models, but moles are notorious for damaging underground wires, and that raised serious doubts. Would a robot mower really be worth the trouble?

The robot mower experience

Gerlinde was especially pleased with the excellent support she received from her local dealer during the installation process. She enjoys watching the robot at work in her garden and has already noticed that her lawn looks healthier and better fertilised. The virtually silent operation often catches the attention of house guests—and has even become a regular topic of conversation.

Thanks to its agile and lightweight design, the mower navigates her garden with ease, frequently prompting reactions like: “That’s incredible!” from visitors seeing it in action for the first time.
