Description

STIGA Combi 553 S is a self-propelled lawn mower with 51 cm cutting width and 60 litre hybrid grass collector with "grassbag full" indicator. The robust steel chassis supports a reliable and performing 166 cm3 STIGA engine with a net power output of 2.60 kW @ 2900 rpm. The Combi 553 S allows you to choose between 3 different cutting methods: rear discharge, collection or mulching - a mowing technique that also feeds and nourishes the lawn. Thanks to a simple lever, you can adjust cutting height easily to six differents positions, from 22 to 80 mm. Furthermore, the user can benefit from the innovative Fulcrum handlebar - adjustable and ergonomically designed with soft grip, it makes the mowing experience truly enjoyable by respecting nature.
STIGA engines (petrol)
STIGA petrol engines are the power behind a whole range of machines – from lawn mowers and tractors to swift-to-start sweepers. Meticulously designed and rigorously tested – only the ones with maximum performance and minimum emissions make the cut.
Fulcrum
Engineered with the "1 click for everything" concept. The Fulcrum handlebar, made of aluminium and pre-assembled in the box, only needs to be connected to the machine. With a central push-lever mechanism, it folds and rotates smoothly to the left side (not to the right, for maximum safety, since the discharge chute or grass collection tunnel is positioned there). Just one click needed to store it and rotate it.

What cutting deck height is recommended for the mulching function on this petrol mower?
The mulching system of this petrol lawnmower allows you to cut the grass into fine pieces, which remain on the lawn, restore nutrients and support growth. To use this function, the height of the chassis must be set so that the grass will be cut to a length that does not exceed a third of the total grass height of the lawn.
