NEW MOON
This is a perfect time for planting, because moisture levels in the ground are high. Leavy annuals like; lettuce, spinach, cabbage and celery are the best to plant in this phase.
WAXING MOON
Moisture level is not as high, but the moonlight has a positive effect on the development of foliage. The best time to plant seeds is 3 days before waxing moon, especially for above-ground crops like melons, squash, tomatoes and peppers.
FULL MOON
Moisture levels are high, but moonlight start decreasing. This is the perfect moment to plant root vegetables.
WANING MOON
This is a resting phase for your garden, as moonlight decreases quickly. Planting is not recommended, instead focus on harvesting, fertilizing transplanting and pruning.
