Discover the best way to store your robotic lawn mower when not in use, especially during winter.
What is the proper way to store your robotic lawn mower during winter? In this article, you will discover how to best store your robotic lawn mower when the mowing season is over. Scroll down and get all the info you need, we'll help you get started!
Here are our tips to properly store your autonomous robot mower:
The machine's storage should be done after completing the last cut of the season and after having cleaned the robot properly.
This can vary from area to area, e.g. in southern Europe this can be done towards the end of October, whereas for northern European areas the last cut should be done towards the end of September/beginning of October; of course, it depends on the temperatures and weather. Some years we can be mowing well into November especially here in STIGA UK country!
Before storing your robot mower for the winter, clean it well by following the steps below:
Watch the how to video to have a closer look at the whole cleaning procedure.
During the winter season, let your robot "rest", in order to be ready for the new mowing season.
The docking and the reference station can be left in the garden, however we highly recommend covering them to protecting them from the rain, cold and snow.
It's easy, just use a nylon bag, or a simple water-resistant box.
When it comes to your robot mower, it is better to bring it inside and store it in its pack or box. Let it "rest" for the whole winter in a dry, warm place.
Before the final storage, don't forget to take some time to properly clean your robot.
In case you need assistance, refer to the closest STIGA robot dealer or contact our dedicated customer care.
Before storing the robot, log into the STIGA.GO App and select the ''hibernation'' function to pause the robot mower during winter time.
When you put it in hibernation mode, the working hours (data traffic) will be frozen and won't be used up until you start the robot mower again in mowing season.
Take advantage of this time to get ready for the new season: tidy up your garden, and carry out general garden maintenance.
