Did you know how quiet our robot lawn mowers are?

How many times did you wake up on a Sunday morning to your neighbour mowing the lawn? Forget about the annoying noise of conventional garden maintenance tools! Our autonomous robot mowers work quietly and without disturbing the small animals that inhabit your patch of green. The quietness also allows everyone at home to relax with their windows open, without any noise coming in while the robot mower is working; the noise level of our autonomous robotic lawn mower only reaches 59 dB(A), which means it's as quiet as a home refrigerator.

Which mechanical parts make our autonomous robot mower quiet?

1. Wheels

The wheels mounted on our models leave no traces on the ground. This happens thanks to the rubber compound used, which not only guarantees high grip performance but is also designed to minimise noise on hard surfaces. Every element of the robot's rear wheels has been carefully considered and they guarantee great grip on slopes of up to 45º.

2. Shell

Most of the outer shell is made of a mixed material - polypropylene, chosen for its ability to flex and absorb shocks upon impact with obstacles, mixed with a 30% of talc, to make it lighter and softer when impacting. It is also highly resistant to scratches.

Our autonomous robots come with 4 to 6 small razor blades that provide a sharp, precise cut but releasing way less noise than a single solid blade.

Battery is quiet

STIGA autonomous robot mowers are of course battery-powered. This not only makes them extremely powerful and respectful of nature, compared to petrol products. It also makes their movement much quieter. We love nature and we take care of it the best possible way.

...but also for nature.

Gardening activities might be disturbing for animals living in the garden, as in the case of hedgehogs, which often build their burrow under small bushes and hedges. This is the reason why our autonomous robot mowers, being not too noisy, is the perfect garden care product. Thanks to very low noise emissions, our autonomous robot mower works in total respect of nature and can also cut in areas close to nests and burrows as it does not disturb the animals and does not drive or scare them away.
