The Winter months are on the way, each year the frosts are appearing later and this has provided more time to finish off those essential end of season tasks. The gardens are slowly being cleaned and prepared for the Winter.Â
There’s no time just yet for putting your feet up, but you can still enjoy a cosy night beside the fire after a day out in the garden.Â
Unfortunately, our warmer months are now over. Now is the time to prepare the garden for Autumn and helping it recover from the summer heatwave. Â

2022 has been a difficult growing season with record temperatures and lower-than-average rainfall. We have however, seen bumper harvests. In the Autumn articles, I’ll talk through some of our successes in 2022, jobs for the next month as well as recommending a selection of Stiga products for your gardens.
The bulbs are shooting, the daffodils are appearing and Spring is just around the corner. The daylight is increasing and we are about to see the emergence of further shoots to bring our gardens back to life. We have recently had a cold spell here in Wales which has given us an opportunity to start to think about the season ahead.
The hedge cutting season is in full flow and this will probably be our last cut of the season. We’ve been busy cutting the laurel hedges with the long-reach hedge trimmer. Â
